Those who practise the code of righteousness will not go in for expertise in crime and fraud. The poet has juxtaposed the expertise in crime against the counsel of righteousness, in this Kural. K V Jegannathan in his detailed research-oriented edition of the Tirukkural has quoted an expression which occurs in Soolamani, which could mean criminal expertise.
