Soundarya lahari slokas provide the clear picture of Goddess' powers and mercies. Her significance is understood by reading of these slokas with meaning. She is the creator ,sustainer and destroyer energy whose dust of the feet dispels darkness, ignorance, and misfortune.

"Dhanuh Paushpam Maurvi Madhukaramayi Panchavishikaah
Vasanthah Saamantho Malayamarudaayodhanarathaha!
Thathaapyekaha Sarvam Himagirisuthe Kaamapi Krupaam
Apaangaaththe Labdhvaa Jagadidamanango Vijayathe!"

Meaning: "O! Daughter of King of snowclad mountains! In spite of being formless, Manmatha, who has a flowerbow, bee strings flower arrows spring season as his minister, sandal breeze chariot, is able to conquer the three world singlehanded This is due to your merciful side glances.

Worship Rituals:

1. Prepare a yantra inscribed on a gold plate or alternatively You can also opt to keep some milk in a silver vessel. Face East while being seated. Chant this mantra daily for 24 days, for about 500 times each day. The milk can be consumed as Prasad.
2. Offer Devi any white flower such as Jasmine, chanting Lalita Trishati stotra.
3. For Prasadam, offer slices of sugarcane, gruel of milk, betel leaves and nut, with spices.

Benefits:

Blessings of Devi can be obtained if you recite this verse for 11 times at least each day for the benefit of you and your family.

1. It cures infertility.

2. It bestows progeny especially sons.

3. For gaining support and favour from Superiors or for those who want to start a business with limited funds or are working against odds, can chant this mantra to get excellent results. They will obtain success and get help at the right time from higher ups.

4. Chanting this mantra also confers success in competitions.

5. The words "jagad-idam-anango vijayathe" indicates that the Devi blesses you with all round success in life and gets you the patronage of people in power or high positions. Any competitions that you are going to attend will shower success on you.

6. By offering cloves for Prasadam, you can get rid of Mars dosha (Kuja/mangal).

7. If any one is not so well off in life, then with the side glance of Shridevi can bestow prosperity even if he is very poor, in the same manner as Ananga or Kama successfully rules the hearts of men

8. Here our mind may be likened to kama, the cupid, who attracts everyone. Mind is without body. But body cannot do without the mind. If we gain control over our mind, we can accure Goddess blessings like Manmatha did, to bring the world under his control and achieve realization.

God can make even a dumb person talk, and a lame man climb the hills. All this happens only due the grace and power of God. Similarly Goddess always achieves impossible things for her devotees.
