Things Needed While You Get Ganesha Home
Its festive time and we all love to celebrate Ganesh Chaturti. Today we are here to discuss about the check list of things that need to be taken care of before you get the Ganesha idol home.
Ganesh Chaturti is celebrated in full lavish way with all the Hindu's and Muslims joining in for its celebration.

There are certain things that are needed to be a must on list during this time. They have its significance. Just like the things that need to be kept ready for the home bringing of Ganesha there is a an auspicious time that has to be taken care of.

The Different Names Of Lord Ganesha
Read on to know more about the things that you need to keep ready before you get the idol home.

Agarbatti/ Dhoop
This is a traditional ritual that is followed by all. Lit some agarbatti and dhoop for good aroma around the house. This actually helps to calm your nerves and helps in concentration of prayers.

Aarthi Thali
Decorate this with diyas. Place the important things that are needed in the aarti to be performed. Flowers, camphor, agarrbatti, coconut and kumkum is a part of the aarti thali.

Bell
This has a great significance. During aarti a person in the house rings the bell all through out the puja. It is a sign that the god's are pleased with the bell sound.

Raw Rice
Ideally the idol is supposed to be got inside the house by keeping it on top of raw rice. The raw rice is spread on the tray which can hold the idol and it is later kept in the house temple.

Peeta
This is a stool that is used to keep the idol. It is decorated with flowers and the idol is kept in the centre.

Cloth To Cover The Idol
A neat white cloth is used to cover the face of Ganesha. The face is revealed after the puja is done.

Sandalwood cloth
A cloth that is dipped in sandalwood essence is used when they take the idol before immersion.

Fruits
Fruits are offered to Lord Ganesha during the puja time. By offering fruits we signify to God us to free us from sin that we have performed in our past lives.

Flowers
Flowers signify beauty, purity and softness. These are ideal for puja's at home. They signify that we pray to Lord about the making our minds pure.
