Go Beyond Thoughts !

On a New Year's night, a Rabbi was walking his way home when he happened to notice a shadowy figure. The Rabbi was shocked to see that it was a man who had recently died!
The Rabbi asked, “What are you doing here? You are supposed to be dead are you not?"
The ghost replied, “I am here because this is the night when souls reincarnate on earth and I am one such soul"
The Rabbi asked, “Why are you then back again?"
The ghost replied, “I led a clean and blameless life. When I was about to die I thought of all the good deeds that I had done and immediately there was a surge of pride welling up my heart. It was just then that I died! So I am sent back to pay for it."
The shadowy figure then disappeared and the Rabbi went home thinking deeply of the conversation.
Shortly after, a son was born to the Rabbi who was later another Rabbi, an extremely humble person!
To go beyond thoughts to have a still mind is to attain the supreme state, beyond birth and death!
