Zen Story, Nothingness

A monk who newly joined Master Joshu was eager to get introduced to Zen. He said : " Master I have just got into brotherhood and I am very anxious to know the introductory principle of Zen"

Master Joshu responded thus : "Have you taken your supper?"

The monk replied in affirmation.

Master Joshu said : "Now wash your bowl !"
