Is It Late To Call Off The Wedding?
Once the wedding day comes close, an eerie feeling clouds over your days. We question ourselves again and again, if this is right for me. Once you tell your family and set up a date for the wedding, the feeling of being trapped is natural.
What will you do, if at this point of time you feel that you are turning a bad relationship into marriage? Can you call of the wedding at the last minute or would you compromise thinking it to be too late? You firstly need to discriminate between wedding jitters and the genuine reasons for calling off a wedding.
Here are some signs that will tell you that it is better to cancel your wedding instead of getting stuck in a bad relationship forever.

If he/she has lied to you: If your wedding is all set to happen and you find out a truth that your partner has hidden from you, then you should consider calling the wedding off. It also depends on the level of fact that has come out. For example, he or she might have hidden past relationships from you. You can let trivial lies pass but not serious ones.
You catch him/her cheating: Don't think twice before you cancel the wedding if your partner cheats on you. A guy or girl who can cheat on you before marriage cannot be trusted to reform after marriage.
Family Issues: Sometimes, the two families have some disagreements just before the marriage. If you feel that his or her family is not worthy of you then there is no harm in re-thinking on your decision. Sometimes, you may realise later that you do not fit into your partner's family. But if you have realised it before you say 'I do', it is not too late yet.
A changed man/woman: If you feel that your partner has suddenly changed after you set the wedding date, then you must discuss it with him or her. If you are still not satisfied with the scenario then it is better to call off the wedding or atleast postpone it. May be your partner is not ready yet.
Listen to you inner self: The funniest thing in life is that all the answers to our questions lie within ourselves. But we often refuse to listen to what our 'instinct' says. Listen to your instinct and if you feel that you are not ready for marriage or you made a mistake by choosing the wrong partner, take it seriously. You may be late in calling off the wedding, but you have saved yourself from turning a bad relationship into marriage.
The bottom line is that it is never too late to call off a wedding. Marriage should be for the right reasons and if your reasons are wrong, it is not worth it. Do you agree? Share your views with us.
