To ask why women marry is to provoke the most metaphysical argument in the world. Some say you will never know, some say isn't it obvious and some say that for the reasons as men. When we get down to the crust of the matter, reasons for marriage vary between the two genders. Not to put it otherwise but men are more reluctant to marry than women and for women it seems to be like a dream come true. This distinction can be justified only if the real reasons why women marry can be discovered.

Why Women Want To Marry?

1. They Are Romantic: Women definitely have more romantic ideas than men. You ought to be an incurable romantic to believe in such funny ideas despite the hard proof around you! For women marriage a permanent solution to their romantic needs but these needs change after marriage and most women fail to anticipate it. Men are clear that relationship problems begin with marriage.

2. Women Need Financial Security: Stop throwing stones ladies, we did not say that women marry for money! There is a fine line of difference; financial security is a legitimate need. Will you marry a beggar on the street? Definitely not. Women need to provided for themselves and their children because they are the ones who take that break from the career in favour of motherhood. So if she is going have your babies then you better pay her bills.

3. Women Want Children: So do men at some point but that comes later in life and men have no clue as to how to bring up children. You can say that children are not good enough reasons for marriage but only a woman understands that a child needs the security of a stable family to grow up in. This fact about marriage is inconceivable to men but true nonetheless.

4. Women Fear Aging Alone: They say that never ask a man's salary and a woman's age. Women are naturally more conscious of their age. May be because we live in a society that judges women by looks and men by capability (unfair I admit) women tend to fear that they will be too 'late' to find the right guy. Moreover, age shows faster on women than men biologically. A 40 something man is still young but for women 40 is the outer limit for a woman to be attractive.

5. More Societal Pressure On Women: You think there is social pressure on you to conform, may be you should slip into a woman's skin and see how it feels. Women are judged constantly and they often succumb under the pressure to conform.

Why women marry is quite clear from these points but one remains unstated; for companionship just like men do.
