Does Your Spouse Show Passive Aggressive Behaviour?
Marriage And Beyond
oi-Anwesha

As they say a known enemy is better than an unknown friend, passive aggression is much more dangerous than outbursts of anger. We all need our outlets to let out aggression so that it doesn't accumulate but if your spouse is passive aggressive then he or she will not do so; it bad for their emotional health and your marriage.
Here are some marriage tips to identify passive aggressive spouse.
How To Identify Passive Aggressive Behavior?
- If your spouse is a basically a silent person and excessive secretive then there are more chances of them being passive aggressive. People who are extroverts or talkative are rarely passive in terms of anger. They have their natural outlets of releasing frustration by talking to people. This does not mean that all introverts are passive aggressive. You only need to be extra watchful.
- If your spouse has a quick temper then you are safe. No chances of passive angst there at all.
- If your partner brings up past issues while you both are having a fight that means they don't let go of thing easily. He or she has not expressed their anger at certain behavior from you at that point and that suppressed rage comes out later.
- If your spouse refuses to answer you directly when it comes to a controversial question then that is a danger sign. Suppose you ask you husband if you can go a girls night out with your friends and he says something like 'it is your decision', be rest assured he is going to use it against you in a fight when he want to go out with his friends. If he actually wanted you to have a good time with your friends he would have said it without mincing his words.
- If your spouse keeps quiet when you are having a massive temper tantrum and gives you a steely look then he or she in the danger zone. People who display passive aggressive behavior never show dissent directly. They store up their discontent and let it out for unrelated reasons.
- If your spouse doesn't talk to you properly for days and refuses to give any concrete reasons then they might be punishing you for some offense you are not even aware of! It could be anything from forgetting your anniversary to leaving the bathroom wet, you can never be sure.
Passive aggressive behavior can cause many marriage problems so detect it early.
