Friendship is an inevitable chapter in our lives. We ought to have friends and friendships in various channels of our life. We all would have had friends right from our childhood, in school, college, and now at the work place too. Gender is not a subject when it comes to friendship. You may have both male and female friends and definitely both have their own importance.

We label some as acquaintance and some as friends. Why? Friends are people with whom we have developed a good rapport and indeed they are people you are close with. • Problems at work are something common. When you are left in a problem, male colleagues may definitely help you out. Male friends work in a unique way and have their established style when it comes to a profession. They may also have several ideas in their mind; this may help you fix your problem in a better way.
• A good job should give the needed satisfaction. Job satisfaction is something that comes top in the list, once you undertake a job. Studies show that male friends work enhances the chances of job satisfaction.
• Male colleagues may be your best friends at work. They may help you work better and help you with your profession, yet you may not discuss anything personal with them. Outside the office you may remain as strangers. The help male friends work may award you can be immense and may earn you praises.
• Business is a competitive environment. It is a highly male dominated area too. For women to climb the peaks of entrepreneurship male friends work may be beneficial.

The Cons

• Every coin has two sides and so does a friendship with the opposite sex. There is always a myth surrounding the male-female friendship and there are also a number of studies carried on to know whether a man and woman can just remain friends. Although there may be several advantages of having male friends work, there are also subsequent disadvantages related to it.
• A man- woman friendship may sometimes be guided by physical attraction. If that happens you may not be able to stand within the borders of friendship for a longer time.
• It is natural to feel that "Spark" with the opposite sex. Once you feel that spark with your male colleague, and then remember it just doesn't go away. This may certainly affect your good relationship.
• Your friendships with male colleagues may work if you both are single. Being single may allow you have the needed freedom with each other. Things may be different when you are committed. You may always have to keep in mind there is someone else in your life and that you shouldn't be cheating him.
• Male friends work may disrupt your relationship with your spouse. It may sometimes leave your husband jealous and insecure. So take care not to strain your relationship.
