- Pick up occasions to make a point with your toddler in the right situation. - The child may not agree at once and clutch on to the chocolate. He or she will say in their baby tongue that 'its mine' and everybody laughs. If you are serious teaching your children to share then cannot indulge in this laughter.
- You have to persevere in order to teach toddler to share. When he or she gets possessive about a thing or object you have to gently explain that when you share the joy of having something increases.
- You can promise rewards in order to teach toddler how to share. If can tell them that if you share your toys or a food you really like with your brother or sister then god will count you as a good kid and if you don't then you will be punished in some way. May be your favourite toy will break.
- Stories, fairy tales and folktales really work when it comes teaching toddlers anything at all. You could tell them the story of the good little pig who always shared and the mean little pig who never gave anything to his friends to them to instill the virtue in them
