Pregnancy Body Odour: Home Remedies
Countering body odour is a real challenge. During pregnancy, most of the women suffer from excessive sweating. This is a common problem which is nothing dangerous. Most of the women suffer from excessive sweating during pregnancy and spraying perfume or deodorants is of no avail. This is a natural problem which occurs due to the hormone estradiol. Even over-eating and medications can lead to body odour during pregnancy.
There are few home remedies that can help overcome body odour during pregnancy. For example, washing your armpits with baking soda while bathing kills bacteria and also reduces the pungent odour smell. Take a look at the other home remedies to treat body odour during pregnancy.
Body Odour During Pregnancy: Home Remedies

1. Adding few drops of lemon juice in the bath tub is one of the home remedies to treat body odour during pregnancy. You will smell the aroma of the citrus fruit all day long.
2. Wipe your armpit with baking soda paste. Mix baking soda with water. Dab a cotton ball in it and then clean your armpits.
3. Cornstarch powder is also used to treat body odour during pregnancy. Mix cornstarch powder in your bucket while bathing.
4. Keep the armpits clean. Armpit hair can be the home for bacteria and germ. So, always clean the armpit and keep it hair-free.
5. Wear light cotton clothes. Cotton dries easily and also prevents the formation of sweat. Polyester or silk can increase sweat so avoid them.
6. Turmeric has anti-bacterial properties which kill bacteria and also reduces body odour during pregnancy.
7. Apply neem oil on the armpits before going to bed. The anti-bacterial and antiseptic oil is one of the best home remedies to treat body odour during pregnancy.
8. Drink lots of water. It keeps you hydrated and reduces the production of sweat by the sweat glands.
