Rigourous exercise soon after delivery is not advicable. That is the time for the body to heal. It has gone through a lot of stress. The best thing to do is walking, free hand exercises, yoga and maintain a diet. Yoga is a must for new mums. Yoga not only helps you lose weight but also is a cleanins process and is a stress buster.
After delivery, the mother needs to be on a balanced diet. Diet does not mean to eat less. We need to understand that soon after delivery your body has chances of lacking some vitamins. Low level of Hemoglobin is a regular feature. Mothers food should have all sources of nutrients, specially vitamin C. It is a great healer. For Hemoglobin one shouls have two dates a day.
Last but not the least, exercises levels should be increased from the 3rd month after delivery.
We should remember that care is needed not only during pregnancy but after delivery also. Any stress after delivery can also cause serious problems for the mother.
