Why Kids Rebel
Generally, kids rebel for various reasons. In some cases, the reason behind such behaviour could also be parenting that has gone wrong. In fact children of parents who have the tendency of disciplining the kids too much may also turn into rebels.

Some kids rebel just for the sake of a separate identity. They carve for a name for themselves and choose rebelling as an activity that gets them an identity.

Some kids who feel unaccepted or ignored by parents of peers tend to rebel for the sake of acceptance. They fight for acceptance through rebelling.

Some kids choose to rebel to just get some attention. Such kids may again be normal once they get attention. But in some cases, it turns into a habit and they become attention seeking kids.

Some kids tend to secretly rebel by going against the parental rules. They do so in the absence of parents. Such kids do so just for the sake of enjoying freedom.
This way, there are several reasons why kids rebel. Knowing about them helps you to address the problem at its root. If you are too controlling, then it is high time you realise that you are creating a rebel at home.
