Psychological problems can manifest themselves in the form of habits, behaviour, emotional, decline in physical or mental functions. Behaviour disorders are only a sub division of psychological problems which deals with the study and classification of behaviour related changes in the child’s developmental cycle.
When a child regularly shows disruptive or unsteady behaviour patterns that hinder his performance at home, school or other social circumstances, it is the time for you to consult a psychologist as he may be suffering from behavioural disorders.

I ADHD
In this child behavioural disorder and its symptoms the child exhibits inattentiveness which is not consistent with his age and development level. It mostly starts in early developmental years and symptoms shown by the child are inattentiveness, impulsiveness and over activity. Boys are more prone to ADHD than girls in their developmental years.

II Conduct Disorder
Conduct disorder is one of the most common child behavioural disorder and its symptoms are:
Frequent refusal to obey parents
Repeated truancy
Tendency to use abusive substances such as alcohol
Physically abusive
Lack of empathy
Sadistic abusive behaviour towards people and other beings.
Frequent lying
Criminal tendency
Tendency to run away from home
Suicidal tendencies in some
The child suffering from ODD are generally coined as bad kids in the society because of their delinquent behaviour patterns. This disorder is also more prominent in boys as compared to girls.

III Oppositional Defiant Disorder
This is the most common child behaviour disorder and its symptoms can exhibit itself under the age of 12yrs in most of the children. Some typical patterns of behaviour followed in ODD are:
Irritated, angry and annoyed behaviour
Temper tantrums
Defying rules
Low self esteem and frustration threshold
Frequent arguments with elders
Deliberation to annoy others
Blaming others easily for all wrong doings
Like all behavioural disorders, there are more cases of boys of ODD than girls.
IV Intermittent Explosive Disorder
IED can be signified by child’s episodic exhibition of anger and aggression especially in late childhood and adolescence. The disorder is characterized by following behaviours:
Low tolerance
Frustration
Easily angry or annoyed
Verbal or physical aggression
Road rage
Getting into fights easily
Destructive behaviour.
