Overeating doesn't mean good health so just stuffing their tiffen carriers will not maintain their sugar levels. Being attentive to what the doctors says and following the instructions strictly can help your kid to eat and enjoy the like others. A proper meal plan is what your diabetic kid needs.

1. Starch: If your kid is allowed to have a certain amount of carbohydrates then divide them into meals for the day. Cut down the on the amount of rice and provide him an equivalent low sugar but high protein food. Kids who take insulin or other diabetic medicines need to keep an eye on their carbohydrate levels in the body. Cereal, bread are good replacements for rice balls.
2. Fruit & Vegetable: Water rich cucumber, melons. Apples, bananas, oranges, grapes, tomatoes, berries, pear can all be shuffled for the entire month. Providing them low fat yogurt or cheese dipped fruits will be more energising anf filling.
3. Seafood: Deep fried seafood cannot be healthy diabetes food. Even though most seafood contain good fat, they still need to be cooked the right way. Baking fish with lemon in a non sticky pan will avoid oil. Frozen seafood is good so just cooking them with some low fat and dressing with vegetables will make it eatable and tasty.
4. Meat: Lean meat is best for kids with diabetes. Replacing ground turkey instead of ground beef is comparatively less fat. Boneless and skinless chicken with vegetable and sauce combination can be colourful and filling for your kid.
5. Fat: It is best to keep low fat. Prefer low fat cheese, yogurt, ice cream, smoothies is better. Skimmed milk and sugar less ice cream can be occasionally savored. Try making sugar free ice creams at home so that your kid isn't desparate to eat junk.
There is nothing called diabetes food or diabetes diet, it is all about healthy eating so keeping a check on calorie intake and planning meals will help your diabetic kid have a normal lifestyle.
