Are Plastic Bottles Unhealthy In Pregnancy?
Are plastic bottle unhealthy? Well, a new study claims that when a pregnant woman uses plastic bottles, it might raise the chances of obesity in the kids.

The chemical that could be responsible for this is known as BPA. This chemical is used in plastic bottles and some food containers too.
Pregnant mothers who are exposed to this chemical may give birth to kids who my have higher chances of becoming obese before the age of 7.

As a part of the study, researchers examined some women who used plastic bottles during their pregnancy. Urine tests proved that more than 90% of them has the harmful chemical in them.

And when researchers studied their kids, they found that their BMIs were higher compared to the kids whose mothers never used plastic bottles during pregnancy.

The problem with BPA is that it is a chemical that can disrupt the endocrine system and this could mess up the metabolism of a kid. This could ultimately lead to fat formation.

This study proves that BPA exposure during pregnancy could affect a child's metabolism. Also, researchers say that BPA could also cause other health issues like heart issues, obesity, diabetes, depression, anxiety and asthma in adults.
