Does Thumb-Sucking Minimise Allergies?
If your baby is seen thumb sucking, most of the time you may get irritated. Even nail-biting is another bad habit of toddlers that may worry parents.

But researchers say that you don't need to worry if you see such habits in your toddler. Such habits are said to minimise the vulnerability to allergic infections in toddlers.

According to this study, kids who are into nail biting or even thumb sucking are said to be less allergic to pets, grass, dust mites, fungi and cats.

This study claims that a bit of exposure to germs isn't really bad as it may minimise the risk of developing allergies later on as it challenges the immunity and makes it stronger.

Of course, at the same time, you shouldn't encourage your kid to develop habits like nail-biting and finger sucking. Also, playing in dirt is a no-no though it may offer a bit of exposure to germs.

After studying more than a thousand children who are between 5 and 7 years, among whom thumb-suckers and nail biters are there, researchers came to this conclusion.
