Your Baby Doesn't Mind A Little baby,pregnancy,stress

Pregnancy is a state which needs a lot of care and attention. It is generally believed that baby,pregnancy,stress during pregnancy should be avoided but a recent study claims that moderate baby,pregnancy,stress can boost foetal brain development.

Previous studies had portrayed a slightest baby,pregnancy,stress to be a villian to pregnancy and concluded that kids of women who lived in war zones during pregnancy have a greater risk of developing schizophrenia.

The new study by Janet DiPietro and her colleagues at Johns Hopkins have a different story to say. To prove their point they investigated the effects of moderate baby,pregnancy,stress in humans.

They researched on 112 healthy pregnant women living in the US three times during their third trimester. They checked the woman's baby,pregnancy,stress levels and recorded foetal movements. They also examined the babies two weeks after birth.

The researchers concluded that women with higher baby,pregnancy,stress levels during pregnancy had babies that moved around more in the womb. After birth, these babies scored higher on a brain maturation test. These babies also showed signs of higher irritation. More active fetuses had better control of body movements after birth.

The baby,pregnancy,stress hormone cortisol plays a role in brain maturation, which may help explain the result.
