Is Sehwag’s Wife Aarti Having an Affair With BCCI President Mithun Manhas?

Virender Sehwag, a former Indian cricket opener, and his wife Aarti Ahlawat are reportedly heading for a separation after over 20 years of marriage. This development has caught the attention of the cricket community. Adding further fuel to the rumours, Mithun Manhas-Sehwag's longtime friend and the newly appointed president of the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) is now being linked to Aarti. The news surfaced shortly after Manhas officially assumed the BCCI presidency, following Roger Binny's resignation in August 2025.

A few months ago, Sehwag and Aarti reportedly unfollowed each other on Instagram, and multiple reports suggested that the couple has been living separately for some time. Reports indicate that a divorce could be imminent.

Sehwag and Aarti tied the knot in 2004 and have two sons, Aaryavir and Vedant. Aaryavir, born in 2007, is following in his father's footsteps and has shown significant promise in cricket. In November 2024, he nearly scored a triple century while playing for Delhi against Meghalaya in the Cooch Behar Trophy.

Speculations Around Social Media Posts

The last time Sehwag shared a picture with his wife on social media was on April 28, 2023. During Diwali 2024, he posted a family photo featuring only himself, his son, and his mother. The absence of Ahlawat from this post has led to increased speculation about their relationship status.

Journalist Abhishek Tripathi added fuel to the fire with a cryptic social media post on October 7, 2025. He referenced a past controversy involving Murali Vijay and Dinesh Karthik from 2009. The post hinted at a former cricketer starting a new relationship with a teammate's spouse.

Fueling the speculation further, fans observed that Sehwag and Aarti's two sons, Aryavir and Vedant, follow Mithun Manhas on social media. An old photo of Manhas with Aarti from 2021 has also resurfaced online, adding to the rumours. However, neither party has commented publicly, and there is no concrete evidence of any affair.

Mithun Manhas' Cricket Career

Mithun Manhas made history as the first player from Jammu and Kashmir to become BCCI president. Although he never played internationally for India, he had an impressive domestic career from 1997 to 2017. Manhas played in 157 first-class matches and scored over 9,700 runs.

In addition to his domestic achievements, Manhas participated in the Indian Premier League (IPL). He played for teams like Delhi Daredevils (now Delhi Capitals) and Chennai Super Kings (CSK). Post-retirement, he served as a batting consultant for various IPL franchises.

Journalist Abhishek Tripathi commented on the relationship between Mithun Manhas and Virender Sehwag in a viral video. He mentioned that while they shared a good rapport, there was an underlying sensitive issue that he chose not to disclose publicly.

"Mithun Manhas' relationship was good with Virender Sehwag, but there is also a catch behind it, and because it's a sensitive catch, I don't want to mention it here," Abhishek said.
