Kawasaki Introduces 7-Year Extended Warranty Program For The MY26 KLX230 Motorcycle
Kawasaki India has introduced an extended warranty programme for the MY26 Kawasaki KLX230, offering owners an impressive 7-year coverage in addition to the standard 3-year warranty. Priced at Rs 2,499, this initiative extends protection for critical engine and gearbox components, providing riders with greater peace of mind and long-term reliability.
Currently priced at Rs 1.84 lakh (ex-showroom), the Kawasaki KLX230 has seen a significant reduction in cost since its initial launch. When it first arrived in India, the motorcycle was priced at Rs 3.30 lakh.

However, in August, Kawasaki began local production of the model, resulting in a price drop of nearly Rs 1.30 lakh to Rs 1.99 lakh. With the implementation of the GST 2.0 reforms, the price was reduced further to Rs 1.84 lakh, making it one of the most affordable off-road-oriented motorcycles in its class. The addition of a 7-year extended warranty at such a nominal cost only enhances its overall value proposition.
The KLX230 is powered by a 233cc single-cylinder, air-cooled engine that produces 19hp at 7,800rpm and 19Nm of peak torque at 6,200rpm, paired with a 6-speed gearbox. The motorcycle is built to handle both city streets and rugged terrains with ease, thanks to its 37mm telescopic front fork and monoshock rear suspension setup. It comes equipped with a 7.5-litre fuel tank, ensuring a decent riding range, and features a lightweight chassis that contributes to its nimble off-road handling.
On the equipment front, the KLX230 remains simple and functional. It comes with a basic LCD instrument cluster that includes Bluetooth connectivity and a single-channel ABS system for added safety. The motorcycle is offered in a single variant with two colour scheme options, appealing to riders who prefer minimalist design combined with purpose-built performance.
Speaking on the occasion, Yutaka Yamashita, Managing Director of India Kawasaki Motors, said, "The KLX230 has been a trusted companion for off-road enthusiasts and everyday riders alike. Riders can now enjoy the freedom of adventure with the assurance of long-term protection."
