Miss Universe 2023: One of the largest and most prestigious fashion events, the 72nd Miss Universe pageant is slated to take place in El Salvador, today, on November 18 with contestants from over 90 countries, aiming to win one of the most coveted crowns. So, it is simply needless to say that we can't keep calm!
The contestants will be judged based on several parameters- personal statements, in-depth interviews, and presentations in evening gowns and swimwear, said the organizers.

While the world is waiting with nail-biting tension and bated breath to know who will be the next Miss Universe to succeed R'Bonney Gabriel from the United States, let us know about Shweta Sharda, a 23-year-old contestant who became eligible to take part in Miss Universe 2023 pageant after winning the Miss Diva Universe 2023 crown in August
The official Instagram page of Miss Diva shared a video of Ms Sharda and announced, "Here comes your LIVA Miss Diva Universe 2023 Shweta Sharda."
Everything You Need To Know About 23-YO Shweta Sharda Representing India At Miss Universe 2023
- Shweta Sharda was born on 24 May 2000, in Chandigarh. She was raised by a single mother.
- According to a report by Femina, at the age of 16, she moved to Mumbai to pursue a career in modeling.
- She completed her bachelor's degree from the Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU).
- Before winning Miss Diva Universe, she participated in numerous reality shows such as Dance India Dance, Dance Deewane, and Dance Plus. Also, she was a choreographer on the dance reality show Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa.
- Recently, she was seen with Gangubai Kathiwadi actor Shantanu Maheshwari in a music video for the song Mast Aankhein by Jubin Nautiyal and Tulsi Kumar.
- On 28 August, Ms Sharda was crowned Miss Diva Universe 2023 and she won awards for Miss Body Beautiful and Miss Talented.
In an interview with Femina, Ms Sharda said, "My mission is to empower girls to chase their dreams. I believe in myself, and it is very human to doubt yourself, but you need to keep the naysayers at bay and goals in sight and pay attention to your inner voice because that will help you create an aspiring reality. I stand here to inspire everyone and help them chase their dreams fearlessly."
