Casio Unveils New Range Of G-Shock Watches

CASIO India Company Private Limited, a 100% subsidiary of the JPY341.7 Billion consumer electronics giant Casio Computer Co. Japan, launched a new range in its most popular G- SHOCK category. Specially for unveiling these New Range of G-Shock watches first time in India, Global Head - Watch Planning Mr. Toru Tanaka & Global Head - Watch R&D, Mr. Shunji Minami joined Casio India M.D. Mr. Masao Naka from Tokyo Head office.

Speaking about the latest Technologies Casio R&D undertaking Mr. Shunji Minami, Global Head - Watch R&D introduced the futuristic Bluetooth enabled G-Shock watch with which data connectivity can be achieved between watch & Mobile phone. He also said unlike other watch players where core is heritage & craftsmanship at Casio core is Electronics & technology, therefore we call it as “Faces inspired by Electronics".

THE ULTIMATE ROUGH AND TOUGH G-SHOCK

In 1983, Casio launched the shock-resistant G-Shock watch. This product shattered the notion that a watch is a fragile piece of jewellery that needs to be handled with care. Its practicality was immediately recognized, and its unique look, which embodied its functionality, became widely popular, resulting in explosive sales in the early 1990s. Over the years G-SHOCK have become a lifestyle for the youth and the watches reflect the attitude of the generation next. The rough and tough G-SHOCK watches are Shock Resistance, Low temperature resistant, vibrations resistant & electric current resistant. Some of G-shock watches are even tougher because of features* like Gravitational Force Resistant, Magnetic resistant, 200m water resistant, Rust resistant, Mud Resistant or ultra tough Stretch resistant band. NEW COLLECTION OF G-SHOCK:
The exciting new models of G-SHOCK GD-200 Series, GB Series-which includes GA-110GB, GD-100GB, GDF-100GB, G-9300-1DR & Hyper colour shocking colour contrast models namely in GD-100HC Series and GA-110HC Series.

These new GB series of watches are designed with unique contrast of Golden & black colour in watch dial which is very famous amongst youngster in western countries. Out of these GB series watches GD-100GB has Super Illuminated LCD, GDF-100GB has Twin Sensor (having Altimeter, Barometer & Thermometer) & GA-110GB has Magnetic Resistance. All these watches have Extra Large dial with various other features like World time, stop watch, 5 alarm, 20bar water resistant with inherent absolute toughness.

This new Master of G, G-9300 is mud resistant because of its large protective covers. Moreover it has unique twin eye display & twin sensor that senses Altitude, pressure & temperature.
GD-200 has Glass fiber inserted reinforced band which makes its band ultra tough. Its High bright LED display makes it even more attractive.

Shocking hyper colour models is a collection having wide selection of crazy colors with parts having something matching, something clashing colours. These watches can be teamed-up with cool and crazy coloured accessories & clothes like caps, jewellary, shoe laces, belts, t-shirts etc.

Talking about the worldwide strategy of Casio watches Mr. Mr. Toru Tanaka, Global Head - Watch Planning, said seeing huge potential of watch business in India we are putting Casio India on worldwide promotion. As part of global promotion “Shock the world party" event was held in Mumbai early this year & more such events are expected this year in other cities of India. Moreover, globally we are creating unique G-Shock fans through the efforts of ambassadors who are leading figures in various cultural scene. On the similar lines in India we collaborated with Indian Youth Icon Mr. Ranvijay Singh.

Mr. Kulbhushan Seth, Head Sales & Marketing, Casio India, unveiled the new live shop-in-shop concept for the retail chains in India, he said Casio has wide range of watches with unique concept that appeals to specific audience. With SIS concept we can communicate & have better connect with Indian customer. We have already opened 25 SIS at various locations in India in last 6 months & Endeavour to take this figure of 55 SIS in next 6 months.
