'The Mummy' Sets Recreated For A Pre Wedding Ceremony

Around 60 artisans from Kolkata and Delhi worked on making the set. The set was recreated in an area of six acres in the outskirts of the city. " The theme of the set is completely new in India and it is not even very costly," says Suresh Kumar, the contractor who managed the construction.
To make the set, materials like bamboo sticks and jute bags were used for decorations. This brought down the cost of construction. Mud colour was used to paint the structure.
An impressive Sphinx statue was built at the entrance. There was laser effects and the sidewalls were covered with more than 500 life sized murals and statues of Cleopatra, Nefertiti, Egyptian gods, soldiers and royal servants.
This lavish set was a gift from Gulshan Kumar to his son Rohit and bride Kiran. The ceremony took place on November 22nd 2009.
