Reduce Pollution In Seven Simple Ways
Here are few simple ways to reduce pollution -
1.Avoid Smoking – Smoking is not only harmful to health but also to the environment. While smoking you release harmful smoke in the air which pollutes it and carries the pollutant to people who are non-smokers and one of your family members can be among them. Millions of trees are cut to make paper that is used in cigarettes. Reducing smoking means reducing felling of trees. Each one's habit of smoking no matter how many cigarettes they smoke add on to the level of pollution.
2.Waste Disposal – To keep our house clean, we throw all the waste in a bin and next morning we empty the bin in a dumping ground. The dumping ground is a clear picture of how much we add on to world pollution. The rotten smell are the harmful gases created out of the rotten waste which releases pollutants to the air. These carry a lot of germ which can cause serious illness. Rather than being one of the contributors, we can dig a pit in our garden and throw all the waste there. After disposing the waste, cover it up with mud, to stop bad odour. The disposal gets mixed in the mud which becomes a fertile soil for plantation.
3.Use Natural Products – Prefer paper bags to plastic bags. Plastic is not biodegradable and thus can cause problems like water blockage, release of chemicals in the soil etc. Thus causing land and water pollution. Plastic is not a natural ingredient. It is made by using chemicals, which has bad reactions. Plastic bottles should not be used to for drinking water. After three hours the chemicals start reacting with the water and when you drink the same you end up consuming the same. This can cause diseases. Use paper bags to carry goods and ceramic utensils for daily purpose. So, that when you dispose them, they get get decomposed in the soil.
4.Make Land Fertile – With rising population and small space for garden, you may not be able to have big trees in your house but you can surely have many plants. This too adds on to eradicate air pollution. Plant as many trees as possible in the garden. It is very important that you keep the land fertile. If nothing is planted on a piece of land for the long time, it looses it's fertility. Trees or plants prevent the soil from being washed off in rain and thus maintain the fertility at the same time prevent air pollution.
5.Don't Pollute Water – Religious places are a major source of water pollution. Everyone wants to take a holy dip, drop the packet of dried flowers in the water in a plastic packet, wash themselves in the water, offer vermilion powder to the holy water etc. All these may be washing off all your crimes but you are t be accused of water pollution. This water is the home of aqua life and all of these pollution is hazardous to their health. Fishes are consumed by human and the fish you eat may also have been infected with the same pollutants. Many industries throw their wastes in water, the same source of water we go for fishing. Don't pollute the water.
6.Vehicles – Vehicles are a major source of pollution. A grand car in your garage looks good but make sure it's not adding on to the pollution. Use gasoline to reduce emission. Car pooling is one of the best ways to reduce number of vehicles on the road. If many people I your locality is driving to the same direction, it is best to use one car rather than five.
7.Leaking AC and Coolers – A recent finding says, leaking AC emits gas in the environment which is harmful. Thus, make sure you fix all application problems.
Practice these seven simple ways to reduce pollution and save Earth from destruction. All the epidemics, diseases and natural calamities are the results of fast growing pollution. There is still time to control it. So, do it before it's late.
