National Chocolate Day Celebration Ideas

It's National Chocolate Day in United States today. A day dedicated to one of the most wonderful culinary creations. Known to be the 'food of God', chocolates, are created from coca beans and was introduced by the Spanish explorers in the 16th century. At that time chocolate was used as food and also as currency. The chocolate brought by Spaniards was also known as bitter drink. The present form of chocolate was introduced by Europeans. They mixed sugar and milk into it and created the taste of chocolate which we enjoy today.

With time, chocolate went under many renovations till the first chocolate factory came into being in the United States in 1765. Within no time, the the chocolate bars became famous all over US and across the globe. To celebrated this heavenly drink, United States observes the National Chocolate Day.

National Chocolate Day is also the celebration of spreading harmony and peace by sharing with each other the sweet treat. What better way of bringing a smile to someone's face than gifting a bar of chocolate. What else can you do on National Chocolate Day? -

1.Choco Surprise – Thicken the milk, add coco powder, a bar of dark chocolate and sugar. Stir it well, till the mixture thickens. Pour a little of the mix in a chocolate mould, then add a nut to it. Then cover it up with another dash of the chocolate mix. Put different things in separate molds. It can be a cherry, a grape, a sweet etc. It will be fun when one finds something different in every chocolate.

2.Chocolate Art – On the occasion of Chocolate Day, you can show your creativity with chocolates. Serve fruits with chocolate dip. Make your garnishing with chocolate. Use melted chocolate to draw patterns on the plate, before serving food. This will hold on the spirit of chocolate day as well as get you some praises for creative garnishing.

3.Chocolate Treat – A chocolate treat on this special day is a must. With Halloween within few days, you can decorate your chocolate gift with Halloween pics to celebrate this special day and also herald the spirit of the upcoming Halloween.

4.Bring A Smile To The Distressed – Chocolate, a sweet treat has the ability to bring a smile on anyone's face. Take this day as an opportunity to bring a smile to the distressed. There are many orphans, poor and ill people, who do not enjoy life the way you do. Gift them chocolates and make them smile.
