Do You Overestimate The Use Of Your Gift?

Most of us fail to use the holiday gifts in our daily lives, as much as we think we would. A study reveals that most people overestimate the use of gifts in the daily lives.
When people ask for a Christmas gift, they think they'll use it all the time, but the reality of owning an object doesn"t quite measure up to our expectations.
It is human nature to crave for something but as soon as we own it, we come up with excuses for not using it. 59 per cent of gifts are used less frequently than the recipients expect to use them.
"Most of us want to have a cappuccino machine but after using it once or twice, we think that it is a hassle to clean it. The fancy navigation system is not necessary for most driving, and no one has time to play the new piano," says Jeffrey Vietri, instructor of Psychology, Reading University.
