How to deal with failures in life?

“My great concern is not whether you have failed, but whether you are content with your failure." - Abraham Lincoln

There is a great saying that "to understand the answer we must first lose ourselves in the question". This expression matches exactly with the success and failures of our life. To taste the cup of success one should pass through failure and struggles. Your past struggles are an important part of your today's actions and your tomorrow's plans. No one ever wins a hundred percent of the time. No one ever loses a hundred percent of the time. A perfect management of your failures will generate success to you.

Failure and success, both are great teachers. The lessons from both are long lasting and take time to become a part of our lives. You are responsible for both. Your actions will lead you down good and challenging paths. Success and failure will follow each other.

When I say failure is the predecessor of success, I do not want you to take every failure as an indication of a future success or take mistakes, sin or failure as a must-to-happen before success. This does not even mean that a person must fail before they can be a success, but our failures, whether in the form of rebellion or just foolish blunders, can become tools of learning and stepping stones to success. The point is, we should never allow our fear of failure to paralyze us from tackling a job or trying something that challenges our comfort zone. By reflecting on the failures of the past, we tend to assume failure for the present and future and while on that keyboard of life we mey be tend to click the 'escape key' when ever challenges come.

Failure can either break us or make us. Those broken by failure are haunted by unpleasant memories. These memories are like shadows that lurk in front, behind, beside, beneath and above. It is also a cage that traps the mind, preventing it to entertain possibilities of freedom and success. They are convinced that they cannot do it; therefore, they will not try. One should look at every failures from a creative point of view. Instead of committing suicide after a failure, one can dream of a successful future and then with hope and ambition work for it. You should not see failure as a scary ghost, but a friend who teaches the hard realities of life and also who accompanies through the steps of success.

The only way to deal with failure is to learn from it and move on to success. The ability to handle failure in its various forms and degrees is a vital part of the life and another sign of maturity. The historian Froude wrote, “The worth of a man must be measured by his life, not by his failure under a singular and peculiar trial".

Failure is just your success in disguise, so never, ever get deterred by it. For a number of people, it is the starting point for something truly innovative, path breaking and significant. Failures are always important in life as they enable one to savor his successes. It makes all the achievements even sweeter and the sweat or toil completely worthwhile.
