'365 Nights': A Memoir Of Intimacy
You must have just got the news of 'Just Do It' a memorable note of physical relationship by Annie and Douglas Brown. Now, here is another couple who tried to combat marital languor in the old-fashioned way: with lots and lots of sex. Charla and Brad Muller, conservative Christians from North Carolina, vowed they'd do the deed every day for a year.
When Brad turned 40, Charla decided to give a unique gift for him. That is none other than scheduled sex on everyday for a complete year. She then wrote a book 365 Nights: A Memoir Of Intimacy to offer an account of this experiment and to explore the power of intimacy in the relationship.
The book is distinct from 'Just Do It' in a rather modest and circumspect description of the details. The author Charla Muller explains in detail how she had planned for a unique birthday gift, its initial denial from her husband, how she remained adamant with her gift and its positive outcomes.
365 Nights: A Memoir Of Intimacy is rather a study of marital relationship through the most beautiful aspect of lovemaking. Charla admits that even they were not a hyper intimate couple even before or after the practice of 365 days. However the 365 days' practice provided opened up some beautiful realms in their marital life. As in Charla's words
"It required a daily kindness and forgiveness, and not being cranky or snarky, that I don't think either of us had experienced before."
The book is an open declaration that daily sexual relationship is not limited to the initial marital days or before childbirth. If you've the passion for each other, you can feel the sizzle even in the so-called middle ages. Don't you think that in the contemporary era sexual marathon is a brilliant idea for a couple in need of a relationship revamp?
