OTT Releases The final week of August brings a mix of Bollywood, South Indian and English-language movies to OTT platforms. From Alia Bhatt and Sharvari's action-packed 'Alpha' to Bobby Deol's 'Bandar' and the much-awaited Michael Jackson biopic 'Michael', there is plenty for movie lovers to explore.

Alpha
Release date: August 28
Alia Bhatt and Sharvari's 'Alpha' makes its OTT debut on Netflix this week. Directed by Shiv Rawail, the action spy thriller is part of the YRF Spy Universe and also stars Bobby Deol and Anil Kapoor.
The film follows two women agents as they navigate a dangerous world of espionage, missions and high-stakes action. After its theatrical release, 'Alpha' now gives viewers a chance to watch the spy thriller from home.
The Whisper Man

Robert De Niro, Adam Scott and Michelle Monaghan headline Netflix's psychological crime thriller 'The Whisper Man'. Based on Alex North's novel, the story follows a widowed crime writer whose young son goes missing.
As he searches for his child, he is forced to reconnect with his estranged father, a retired detective whose past is linked to an old serial-killer investigation.
Chumbak

'Chumbak' is a new Hindi-language family comedy series created by Aatish Kapadia and Jamnadas Majethia, the team associated with popular shows such as 'Sarabhai vs Sarabhai'. The series follows five quirky families living in the same Mumbai neighbourhood, where everyday disagreements, celebrations and unexpected situations bring their lives together.
The ensemble cast includes Neena Gupta, Deven Bhojani, Arjun Bijlani, Manasi Parekh, Helly Shah, Sumeet Vyas and Sandeepa Dhar, among others. Chumbak premieres on Netflix on August 28.

Anurag Kashyap's 'Bandar' brings together Bobby Deol and Sanya Malhotra in a crime drama that examines accusations, public judgment and the consequences of media scrutiny.
The film centres on a television personality whose life changes after he becomes embroiled in a serious accusation. With a cast that also includes Saba Azad, Sapna Pabbi and Indrajith Sukumaran, 'Bandar' is among the notable Hindi releases arriving this week.
