Lizardman Not Skipping Horrific Details While Sharing Body Modification Procedures Will Give You Chills!
We've all pondered what animal we would be if given the chance, but Erik Sprague has taken it a step further by transforming himself into a lizard.

Over the past three decades, he has undergone numerous body modifications to achieve his goal, including splitting his tongue in half, sharpening his teeth, and covering his body in green scaly tattoos. Sprague's fascination with reptiles began after watching shows like Godzilla and noticing how they appear in various cultures and histories.
Erik Sprague And His Lizard Look
Sprague, 52, appeared on Friday, 28 June on a show, This Morning, and discussed his transformation with hosts Alison Hammond and Dermot O'Leary. He explained that reptiles hold a special place in human consciousness, and as an artist, he felt compelled to explore this connection. Hammond admitted that Sprague's appearance had left her speechless when he first appeared on screen.
Sprague is no stranger to causing a stir with his lizard-like appearance. He told the ITV show presenters that he often causes people to do double takes and has even been responsible for a few traffic accidents over the years.
From Rigid Bumps On Forehead To Split Tongue
During the interview, Sprague detailed the various procedures he has undergone to become 'The Lizardman'. In the 90s, he decided to split his tongue in half through tongue bifurcation. He claims to be the first person in the world to have this done and described smelling and tasting his own burning tongue during the procedure.
'This was back in 1997, at the time he [the doctor] only charged me the cost of his use in the surgical theatre, which was about $600 [£474] at the time,' he said.
Sprague also had implants inserted into his forehead to create rigid bumps. The process involved grafting teflon subdermally to his skull without anaesthetic, which left him vomiting and hallucinating from pain. Additionally, he had his teeth filed down to points, requiring him to relearn how to speak without a lisp with help from a speech pathologist.
Despite the pain and strange looks he receives, Sprague says turning himself into a reptile has changed his life for the better. However, he admits that sometimes negative comments can affect him. He feels pressure to always have positive interactions with others since people are likely to remember meeting him due to his unique appearance.
