IBFW 2015: Falguni and Shane Peacock's French Rendezvous
Falguni and Shane Peacock took the stage under control with their eclectic collection inspired by the French opulence and the vintage appeal of France. Known for their signature striking prints' stories, blend of colours and fringes, Falguni and Shane Peacock presented a creatively designed and eternal collection inspired by the French opulence.
The designer duo are known for dressing up a host of stylish celebrities worldwide including Jennifer Lopez, Madonna, Kat Graham, Britney Spears, Katy Perry, Fergie and Lady Gaga to name a few.
The creative designer duo's new bridal collection 'That Is It' which tells a story of love, a tale of passion and a saga of magnificence of India.
'That Is It' consists of a wide variety of silhouettes like voluminous and slim-fit floor scraping gowns, dresses, bridal wear, saris, lehengas with capes and sari-gowns which reflects a sense of vintage splendor and ethnic charm.
"It draws inspiration from our recent trip to Cannes. We wanted to amalgamate French opulence with the ethnic roots of Indian art... (they) draw inspiration from the ancient intricate embellishment techniques of India and fuses it with the graceful silhouettes from the western lands," Falguni told while describing her inspiration behind the Peacock Bride.
Ice blue, red, pale pink, dull lilac, frosted gray, ivory hues, champagne, tanned beige and caviar are embroidered and embellished to create elegant silhouettes.
Showstoppers for the designer duo were 'Hero' co-stars Athiya Shetty and Sooraj Pancholi. Both looked elegant in an all black look.
Athiya Shetty wore a black sequinned sheer ball gown while Sooraj looked dapper in a black bandhgala velvet jacket.

'That Is It'

A Touch of Red
Fringed red and cream embellished lehenga saree looked eternal and fierce.

Colours, Lace, Floral Motifs and Embellishments

A Touch of Black
Heavily embroidered vintage styled black silhouettes and saree gowns stole our hearts.

We saw colourful prints as well on flowy and pleated silhouettes.
