IBFW 2014: Monochrome Bridal Collection By Gauri & Nainika
The BMW India Bridal Fashion Week 2014 started with a bang. Day 1 commenced with two of the greatest designers in history, Tarun Tahilini and Gauri & Nainika. Being a bridal fashion show, we expected to see a great amount of gold, red and much more bridal colours. But, this time we were surprised to see bold colours being used. Gauri & Nainika whose collection is remarkably good-looking as always, gave us goosebumps as the designs were shown on the ramp.
Gauri & Nainika IBFW 2014 designs were out of the box and amazing. As stated earlier, their designs were more of sharp cuts and stark silhouettes. It brought out the strong rendition of modern glamour on the ramp which we fell in love with instantly. At the IBFW 2014 Gauri & Nainika's collection was nothing bridal to look at. Each of the designs were featured of three colours only - black, white and red. The iconic and timeless combination of these colours, whether in monochrome, bichrome or trichromatic, is an indisputable head-turner.
At the IBFW 2014, Gauri & Nainika showed us that even black and white, being bold colours can be a part of a bride's closet. It is through these two colours, a new modern version of a bride was brought to life on the ramp. Here are some of the beautiful new style versions of a bride. Take a look:

No More LBD's
Has the LBD gone under the list of being old-fashioned? This black elegant dress got a lot of looks on the IBFW 2014 day 1 ramp.

The Bold Colours
There was something about this monochrome dress which we liked. Do you kwow what it is? - The fusion of the belt and the rimming of the sleeves.

For The Toned Brides
Only toned and way over confident brides can carry off a gown this perfect. This tube bikini top and lehenga white skirt grabbed a lot of eye balls.

Deadly Red Gown
The layers of ruffles on this bridal gown by designer Gauri and Nainika is amazing.

Goes With The Theme
The theme of Gauri and Nainika's collection at the IBFW 2014 was red, white and black. This dress had the three striking colours which looked perfect on the ramp.

Long Black Gowns
The Long Black gown which was featured on the ramp at day 1 IBFW 2014 was stunning. A great amount of detailing was seen in this bridal collection.

Time For White
Though this was a bizarre bridal wear from the designer's collection, it sure seemed to be daring and trendy.

The Bridal Colour
Lots of white was seen on the ramp at the day 1 LBFW 2014. These two designers, made their styles look appealing.

Passionate Cut Patterns
On the ramp at IBFW 2014, we saw a lot of passionate cuts. Plunging necklines and deep armpits gave out a different style.

Lots Of Sheer
Lots of sheer was seen on the ramp. The bottom portion of this white gown was of two fabrics - sheer and ruffled cotton.

The Dalmatian Combination
Remember Cruella from the movie, 101 Dalmatians? This is kind of the same dress seen on the model from the movie.

Red Ruffle Bottoms
There was a touch of everything on the ramp. The three colours - red, white and black were prominent in every aspect.

On The Way To The Altar
The models in white seem like they are on the way to the altar to tie the knot.

The Theme Colour
It was a great selection in colour. We fell in love with the way these three colours were put into use by designers, Gauri and Nainika at IBFW 2014.

Designers On Day 1 At IBFW 2014
Though their collection was colourful, they were seen in plain causals on the ramp.
