There is a morbid fascination about a famous one’s early death. We wonder with wide eyes about what might have gone wrong. We thought they were immortals who rules our cultural life. The sad truth is that most of these people killed themselves driven with rage and madness. There can be a big list regarding famous stars that died young, but the truth is that stars do not die; they simply shine in our night sky and amaze us with their purity.

Here is a mix of musicians, painters, authors, and film stars who took the world by storm and disappeared without an iota of trace.

Jim Morrison
Perhaps the greatest star to take the Rock and Roll music scene by storm, Jim Morrison, the lead singer of the Doors died in 1971 in Paris at the age of 27. Officially it has been said that he was found in the bathtub with a heroin overdose, there was no autopsy performed because no foul play was ever suspected. Morrison's death at 27 famously made him a member of the 27 Club.

Vincent Van Gogh
One of the greatest painters of all time, Van Gough supposedly shot himself on the chest when he was 37, but speculations say that he was in fact murdered. Van Gogh revolutionized art with his self portraits, and the depiction of the mundane, the everyday life as he saw it. Some of his famous works include, Starry Nights, The Potato Eater and his self portrait.

Bruce Lee
The iconic Chinese martial arts film hit maker died at the tender age of 32. The fit and strong Bruce Lee collapsed at the Golden Harvest Studios in Hong Kong while dubbing for the movie "Enter the Dragon" after suffering from seizures and headache. There were many theories regarding his death due to the mysterious way in which he died.

James Dean
One of the biggest shockers of all time, James Dean died when he was just 24 years old. James Dean was one of the most iconic figures of Hollywood during his time and continues to gain much attention throughout the world. He died in a fatal car crash months before he was about to receive an Oscar nomination for his film, "East of Eden".

Arthur Rimbaud
The boy genius, French poet Arthur Rimbaud quit writing when he was just 21. Thereafter he lived in Africa for many years and eventually developed a right knee synovitis and subsequently a carcinoma in the right knee. Rimbaud died at the age of 37 in Marseille. He was a great figure in the symbolist movement of that time and continues to gain popularity.

Amaru Tupac Shakur
The man who brought hip hop and rapping to the lime light, Tupac Shakur met an untimely death at the age of 25. He was shot while returning from a Mike Tyson boxing match in Las Vegas, Nevada. Tupac Shakur brought black rights and hardships on the fore front with his raps, generating many followers around the world. Shakur in fact gained more following and success in death.
Even to this day many young famous people are dying young, most recently Philip Seymour Hoffman.
