The expecting mother, Kate will attend the official christening ceremony in Southampton on June 13 , just a month before the delivery. Kate Middleton is due to give birth to the next heir of the royal family in July.

The Duchess will release a bottle of champagne which will officially inaugurate the Royal Princess ship. It will be followed by other British ship-naming traditions, such as the blessing of the ship and a performance by the Royal Marines Band and the pipers of the Irish Guards .
