Most Expensive Valentine's Day Gift On Auction

There is something more to valentines day than just celebrating love. It is the day to share, give those who are badly in need.

If the teens are lost in the eyes of their partners, there are some events happening across the world for a special cause. An expensive valentine's day gift is been auctioned for charity. At Santa Barbera, the oldest timepiece and rarest necklace worth millions is on bid.

Alex Caroll is auctioning the most expensive valentine's day gift. The bid starts at $1 million. And this isn't the first time a timepiece is sold for such high price. Earlier, in 1999, a one of a kind clock was sold at the Sotheby's auction for $5.7 million.

According to Alex Caroll, the timepiece is expensive as it is made by nature and cannot be copied or duplicated. It is a 20 million year old timepiece that is made from a heart-shaped (naturally fossilized) Bali Star Coral. It is the world's largest collection of naturally carved sea glass. The piece titled as the “Crown Jewel Of The Sea" ranks one in the category of naturally heart shaped collection.

The matching gold pendant is also the rarest and the most perfect specimen. It is made of a heart shaped sea glass ever found.

There is another reason why the auction is getting so much popularity. The rumours state that Caroll has contacts to the royal family and that there is a chance prince William might get the exclusive valentine day collection for his wife Kate and all the proceeds of the gift will be given to the charity.
