Golden Petal Awards is a very famous function for the television actors. This award show is organised by Colors (a Viacom channel). Every year, new talents and stars from the television are awarded for their acting skills and popularity.

The award function is to recognise actors from various channels. These actors are nominated for various categories like, Most Lokpriya Face (male and female), Most Damadaar Personality (male and female), Most Lokpriya Reality Show, Most Lokpriya Family, Most Nanhe Natkhat Personality, Most Anubhavi Personality, Most Chahita Personality Face of Progress and many others.

Every year new talents and existing ones are honoured. Many celebrities from the television world as well as Bollywood attend the Golden Petal Awards. The 2012 awards was recently held in Mumbai and we saw celebs walking down the red carpet in gorgeous outfits. Even Bollywood actors who are also popular on television like Salman Khan (Big Boss), Isha Sharvani (Jhalak Dikhla Jaa contestant), Madhuri Dixit (Reality Show Judge), Raveena Tandon (Anchoring a reality show), Malaika Arora Khan (Reality show judge) and many more.

Bright colours like red, yellow, blue were visible on the red carpet. However, few Bollywood celebrities decided to go for deep back gowns in light colours. For example, Malaika wore a white coloured thigh high slit gown, Isha wore a light brown coloured deep back gown and Madhuri wore a grey coloured gown.
