Sandal – the Mysore sandalwood products are very famous in the international market. The incense, medicinal products, beautiful handicrafts, soaps, cosmetic products and perfumes made out of Sandalwood are widely exported. The fragrance of the wood and the oil extracts are simply unmatchable.
Ivory – Indian Ivory carvings have been famous since ancient times. The expensive Indian product, from centuries, was carved in Murshidabad, West Bengal and their ancient magnificent ivory work is been exhibited in Victoria Memorial, Kolkata. The Elephant tusk (Ivory) carving is also prevalent in Mysore, Tamil Nadu, Uttar Pradesh and Rajasthan.
Indian art, paintings and sculptures – apart from the famous Raja Ravi Verma art, Tanjore art even modern Indian art are auctioned across the world. Indian Sculptures and many other art are also in great boom.
Indian herbal products – Indian medicinal herbs like tea, saffron flower are very expensive and are largely exported to other countries.
Indian spices – Indian spices like cinnamon, cardamom, mustard, cloves and turmeric are one the major exported items.
These expensive Indian products are the most wanted around the world. Although Ivory is not marketed in India, it is still one of the luxurious products that India ever produced.
