Good news for all Katy Perry fans. The pop musician is all set create magic on “How I Met Your Mother". Katy Perry will be the guest star this spring, just like Britney Spears in 2008.

CBS, on Thursday, announced that Katy Perry will make a guest appearance in the new episode titled "Oh Honey," which will telecast later this season. She is reportedly playing the beautiful naive cousin of Zoey Pierson, played by Jennifer Morrison. The Co-creator of the series, Carter Bays has all praises for Katy Perry, and said, that Perry is tremendously talented and that he is delighted to be able to work with her.

"How I Met Your Mother" got the highest ratings in 2008 when Britney Spears had made a guest appearance as Abby. Bringing the pop icon back for a second appearance as receptionist reportedly turned Barney Stinson, played by Neil Patrick Harris, conquest Abby. Although Spears' appearance in “How I Met Your Mother" received high reviews, Abby may not be the Mother of Ted's Children in the upcoming series.

Will Katy Perry be the Mother? Well, we will have to wait and watch.
