Rather than being the stage of talents, the American Idol stage have always been a stage for controversies and this time it is Jennifer Lopez and Steven Tyler. Jennifer Lopez has accused Steven Tyler of stealing the limelight of the show.

One of the sources have revealed that Jennifer Lopez and Steven Taylor rift in American Idol started with fact that, before the programme started everything on American Idol was about Jennifer Lopez but now the show is all about Steven Tyler. According to an insider, Jennifer Lopez was furious with Steven Tyler not only for taking the limelight but also because he is getting all the credit for the success of the show.

“She"s mystified at how this happened and has made it very clear to the producers that the cameras need to spend a little more time adoring Jennifer"s favorite idol — herself," revealed a source.

But the point here is that neither of the things be it Jennifer Lopez and Steven Tyler rift in American Idol or the participants, the show vies seem to be declining year after year. “The show has experienced year-to-year declines of about 10 percent for the last several seasons now, so everyone expected ratings to drop. The only question was how much they drop. And although the show did drop, it still produced huge numbers easily beating all its competition. Last week"s episode was actually up from last Thursday"s episode by nearly 18 percent, and was down only 9 percent from the equivalent episode last year," reveals an insider.
