Mariah Carey's Christmas Song On Top

US singer Mariah Carey"s hit 'All I Want For Christmas Is You" has hit to top of the billboard as the most-played song among the top 100 festive songs of the past decade. In a study by music industry body PPL, Mariah Carey''s 1994 recording was found to have dominated the players list including this Christmas 2010. Mariah Carey's songs has reportedly topped all airwaves in shops and radio stations.

With Mariah Carey's song at first place, Wham!''s 'Last Christmas" is in second while The Pogues and Kirsty MacColl''s single 'Fairytale Of New York" is said to have taken the third place.

"Music really helps define this time of year, be it songs that radio broadcasts because that''s what people want to hear or the songs retailers use in store because of their mood-enhancing power," the SUN quoted Jonathan Morrish as saying.

"Christmas without music would be unimaginable," Morrish added.

Apart from Mariah Carey's song, the other top songs include: 5. I Wish It Could Be Christmas Everyday by Wizzard, 6. Do They Know It's Christmas? by Band Aid, 7. Driving Home For Christmas by Chris Rea, 8. Stop The Cavalry by Jona Lewie, 9.White Christmas by Bing Crosby, 10. Let It Snow by Dean Martin.
