Food And Cultural Festival Organized By The Chinese Embassy

In run-up to the Chinese New Year on February 14, the Embassy of the People's Republic of China organized a food and culture festival in New Delhi on Sunday.
The festival was marked with dance and music performances by various Chinese artists. During a special performance, Chinese models, draped in Indian traditional saris, walked the ramp. To add a Indian touch, Bollywood numbers were played in the background.
Also present on this occasion was Chinese Ambassador to India Zhang Yan who said that the year 2009 was very successful for China and that he expects the same from 2010.
“2010 is also an important year for Sino-Indian relationships. Both the countries would celebrate the 60th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between them," said Chinese Ambassador, Yan.
Yan also announced that China would be holding the World Expo at Shanghai and also organise Asian Games 2010 in Guangzhou this year.
