A 112-year-old Somalian sought the hand of a 17-year-old girl after a long wait.

Ahmed Muhamed Dore, from Guriceel, in the Galguduud region of Somalia waited for his young bride to grow up in order to propose to her. For the natural doubt as to whether she was forced into marrying the groom who fit to be her great-great-great-grandfather, 'The Telegraph' quoted him as saying "I didn''t force her, but used my experience to convince her of my love, and then we agreed to marry"

Safia's family says she is "happy with her new husband" who is 95 years older than her.

Ahmed has also fathered 18 children through his five wives.

Love is blind indeed!
