'Tough Cookie' Madonna was bent on wearing the bulletproof vest during her visit to a Rio de Janeiro slum. She was even accompanied by a squad of bodyguards during this visit.

The state governor accompanied the 51-year-old hitmaker during her visit. The star is trying to raise funds from local businessmen to aid a children's charity there. Madonna stayed in the shantytown for nearly 40 minutes.
