Sonia Menon Crowned Miss Pesta Pulau Pinang

It is triple celebrations time for the 21 year old Sonia Menon . The college student won won Miss Pesta Pulau Pinang 2008 title along with two other totles of ' the Miss Best Catwalk Step' and 'Miss Best Personality' AP-Techpro. and was considered the most beautiful in a field of 17 other contestants.

The beauty queen walked away with with RM3,000, a crown, trophy, sash, Y-Elegance Massage Chair worth RM9,000, air ticket to Hong Kong and other prizes.

"I am ecstatic after winning the contest on my maiden attempt at a beauty contest," the New Straits Times Online quoted her, as saying. The first runner up is Nor Hidayah Abdul Wahab, who works as a receptionist and aspires to become a successful businesswoman.

The second runner up is the 25 year old accounts clerk Ong Wei Sian.
