Penelope Cruz To Adopt A Child From India

The beauty started dating her boyfriend, the Oscar-winning actor Javier Bardem, on the set of Woody Allen's latest blockbuster "Vicky Christina Barcelona".
The pair met when they co-starred in the Spanish art house film Jamón Jamón in 1992 but at that time weren't romantically involved. However, a year ago, the two had a strong relationship but did not intend to marry yet, according to the actress's brother.
"She seems happy and very together (with Bardem)," the Telegraph quoted Mr Cruz, as saying in an interview with Spanish magazine 'Lecturas' to promote his debut album. But he said his sister was wary of getting married after witnessing their parents' messy divorce.
"I overcame it but it still affects Penelope strongly so the concept of marriage is perhaps hard for her," he said. However, his sister was keen to become a mother some day, he said."She admires Angelina Jolie and has always said she wants to do the same thing. She wants to adopt an Indian child when the time comes," he revealed.
Jolie and her partner Brad Pitt have adopted three children; Maddox, 7, from Cambodia, Pax, 4, from Vietnam, and Zahara, 3 from Ethiopia. They also have three biological children of their own; Shiloh, 2, and three month old twins Maddox and Vivienne.
Hopefully the Hollywood rage for adoption is a more than just a passing fad.
