The president elect has an impressive pectorals and a 33-inch waist, all thanks to his rigorous exercise. The 47-year old 'icon' gave a glimpse of his fit physique while on a holiday in Hawaii. The president sweats it out for six days a week for about 45 minutes, hopping between cardio routines and weight circuit training.
"Most of my workouts have to come before my day starts," the New York Daily News quoted him as telling Men's Health magazine. Other than shooting baskets with his 20-year junior personal assistant, Reggie Love, Obama also pumps up his heart beat on an elliptical machine.
The former Senator from Illinois workout with 40- to 50-pound dumbbells in each hand and later feasts on a MET-Rx chocolate roasted-peanut protein bars, roasted almonds and pistachios.
The president is keen about his diet and has a breakfast of eggs, prefers fish to meat and enjoys water to soda. The health maniac is all set with his triceps to start his office as the forty-fourth president elect on January 20, 2009. He also enjoys a good share of veggies like spinach and broccoli.
