Lifetime Achievement Award For Michael Douglas

Actor and producer Michael Douglas will soon be honoured with American Film Institute's lifetime achievement award for his outstanding contribution to cinema.
At a tribute event in LA in June, the 64-year-old will follow in the league of his father, who was credited with the same award 18 years ago. "I am honoured and overwhelmed to be included in such a prestigious group of film-makers," BBC quoted the artist as saying. "I am particularly moved to be following my father 18 years later," he added.
AFI chairman Howard Stringer said Douglas was the "rightful heir to the throne of the royal family of American film". He further added: "Though he is most beloved as one of the great leading men of the movies, Michael is also a most accomplished film producer and, ultimately, an artist whose films have been elevated in the pantheon of American film."
Douglas, married to the stunning Catherine Zeta Jones , has been acclaimed with Oscar's best actor category for 'Wall Street', and produced 'One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest' which backed all 5 Oscars in 1975. The actor is now set to appear in Peter Hyams' courtroom thriller 'Beyond a Reasonable Doubt' and Mark Waters' comedy 'Ghosts of Girlfriends Past'.
Some celebs manage to pull it off all together, be it a gorgeous wife, Oscars or a raving career, Michael Douglas has it all.
