'Library On Wheels' Introduced In Ahmedabad

Mr Shantibhai Patel, Chief Librarian of M J library, Ahmedabad, formally launched the 'Library on wheel', a mobile library van at the Ahmedabad Management Association.
The 'Library on wheels', a public service initiative of DPS East, was flagged off on the Independence Day last month as a pilot project.
The library, after doing weekly rounds of many areas on trial basis, is now being introduced formally on the streets of eastern parts of the city. There are close to 500 different titles on variety of subjects like Story books, periodicals, newspapers, religious books, and social science focusing on class 1 onwards.
Initially, it will be moving in areas like Kankaria, Maninagar, Isanpur, Vatva Canal, rabari Colony, Gandhi Chawk, IPCO wala circle locations once a week.
