He also secured the prize of 1000 US Dollar along with Su Zha Liang of China.
His photo 'Maramadi Yoked Bulls' Race' bagged the award in the category of Society and Customs, an official release said. The picture was taken in Anandapally, Adoor, Kerala.
Mr Suresh, currently working as a Senior Photographer, has won several national and international awards.
The first round selection of over 13,500 photos received from 61 countries and regions were finalised by the organisers of The Epoch Times 2007 International Photography Competition.
After a careful evaluation, the top 160 photos from 27 countries were chosen as the winners of the first round of selection and the organising committee would hold a photo exhibition for the winning photos in New York City.
All the photographers with entries that made it through the first round of selection would be invited to the exhibition, where their photo(s) will be showcased.
The review of the competition finalists' photos was completed by the contest jurors, and the final vote was cast.
The photographers competed in the categories society and customs, natural environment and advertisements, advertisement, portraits, fashion, still objects, and architecture.
The evaluation of the photos was conducted by professional photographers, photo reporters, and TV programme producers from United States, New Zealand, Taiwan, Canada, and Germany.
