The GIGABYTE Open Overclocking Championship, GO OC 2008, the world's largest Overclocking competition, successfully took place September 25, 2008. A total of 23 teams from 20 different countries worldwide gathered at the Grand Hyatt Hotel in Taipei, Taiwan to compete for the title of the GO OC 2008 champion. After 13 hours of serious competition, GIGABYTE is pleased to announce team Sweden, consisting of teammates elmor and SF3D, was crowned champion of the Best P45 OC. The winner of the GO OC 2008 Free Style Contest was team USA, with teammates FUGGER and Vapor, who broke 5 overclocking world records during the second scheduled 2 hour competition.

The GO OC 2008 event was kicked off with an opening speech from Richard Ma, Senior Vice President of GIGABYTE Group. "First, I would like to thank you all for joining us today for this history event. Today's competition is going to be very exciting and I hope the exposure from this event will help showcase your overclocking talents to the world."
